1. Freshen up your bedroom with paint

Paint is potentially the cheapest way to give your bedroom a whole new look. Lots of landlords are open to this idea, and even a modern coat of white or off-white paint will make your dwelling feel brighter and bigger.

We love that you can use any gain to perfectly match your bedding and throws. If you're spiteful on time, you could also create a headboard look laughable paint, a section of wallpaper, or by hanging a rug above your bed.

7. Throw down a large rug

An area rug can shroud pretty much anything — a stained carpet, tired-looking floorboards, or an accidental makeup spill. Go as big as you can! An area rug looks best if the the majority of furniture is sat on top of it, plus this will make the room travel larger, too.

The humble houseplant has life and room-changing instructions. Pop a cute fiddle leaf fig in one corner or hang a string of pearls from your ceiling. They add life, color, and texture to a bedroom, and you can pick pretty pots that blend in with your decor, too.

Plus, houseplants have some amazing benefits for your bodily and mental health (including purifying the air and portions you get better sleep). If your thumbs are the opposite of green, don't despair. There are so many low-maintenance houseplants that could thrive in your room.

9. *Throw* a party
